All students enrolled in Algebra 1, Biology 1, English 2, or US History this semester will take a state mandated end of course exam.
- Please re-schedule doctor/dental appointments or vacations that fall on a test day! Per South Carolina mandate, the EOC test score will count at 20% of the student's final grade in the corresponding course.
- Students who do not test will receive a zero as the final exam grade in the corresponding course.
- Make up exams will not be rescheduled due to vacations/unexcused absences.
- Students may not bring any electronic device (phone, smart watch, headphones, etc) other than the HCS latitude into the testing location.
- Please advise your students to leave any personal electronic devices at home on testing day or they will be collected and held for the duration of the test.
It is IMPERATIVE that students enrolled in an EOC course be present on exam day!
Per South Carolina mandate, the EOC test score will count as 20% of the student's final grade on the corresponding course. Students who do not test will receive a zero as the final exam grade on the corresponding course.
Students taking an English EOC will be assigned one day for the writing exam and one day for the reading exam (students must complete the writing AND reading portions of the exam to receive a score).
All EOC teachers will have specific information regarding the location and start time for each student's exam closer to the exam date. If you have questions about your child's EOC exam please contact your child's teacher directly.
Students scheduled to take an EOC exam must have a working, updated, and charged HCS issued Dell Latitude with them on exam day. Students who are experiencing issues with their device should see Mr. Jones a week prior to testing to have the device serviced.
